Eight St. Andrew's members worshiped with Goshen Ministry, an African refugee church, at their Sunday morning service, then provided and shared lunch with about 70 of their members.
They really appreciate St. Andrew’s and think of us as their “family.” They were delighted that we were there worshiping with them. We were struck by how patient their children are in worship for 2 1/2 hours. The congregation lets the Holy Spirit move them, literally; they sang and danced joyfully. Several of us gathered around the piano for an impromptu hymn sing--the highlights being Amazing Grace and Blest Be the Tie That Binds.
The Holy Spirit was all over the place- in their worship and in their love for each other and us.
