YOU CAN STILL USE YOUR TAXES TO HELP OUR SCHOOL!
By taking advantage of the Arizona tax credit, a married couple can donate up to $1000 and a single filer can donate up to $500 to our Kindergarten program through a tax credit organization, benefiting you on both state and federal taxes, while helping more families afford a quality Christian Kindergarten education. Tax credit forms and information for are available in the school office (742-2969), the church office, and at the Welcome Tables in each sanctuary. To qualify for the 2011 tax year, donations must be made before your taxes are filed for 2011 (April 15, 2012). Donations should SPECIFY St. Andrew’s Kindergarten.
St. Andrew’s Preschool and Kindergarten, an extension of St. Andrew’s Children’s Ministry, is designed to help meet the needs of young children and their families. We provide appropriate experiences which will contribute to the many facets of a child’s growth including physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual domains. Our goal is to provide a high quality, warm and developmentally appropriate experience, in a nurturing atmosphere conducive to individual development and feelings of self-worth.
St. Andrew’s Preschool and Kindergarten is licensed by the State of AZ, open to the community at large, and has been in operation since 1979. We follow a traditional school calendar year, being in session from late August until mid-May.
A variety of morning and afternoon Preschool Classes, lasting for 2 ½ hours per session, are offered for children ages three and four. 2, 3, or 5 days/week options are available, depending on class availability. (Classes for two year olds are available during the morning session only.) Potty training is not required for 2 year old classes; however it is mandated per state regulations for all 3s and 4s classes. Limited Extended Care is available from 8:30 – 9:00 am and 11:30-1:30 pm.
Our extended day Kindergarten classes run from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday- Friday. In addition to our own educational requirements, careful attention to state standards and public school curriculum insures a strong foundation for growing minds.
All preschool teachers have education related college degrees or C.D.A.s, in addition to previous teaching experience. Our Kin
dergarten teachers are certified by the state of Arizona. All classes have teacher aides. Class sizes range from 12-18 children, depending on class/age level and maximum school enrollment is 300 children.
Parents’ Evening Out (PEO) is a Friday evening program that provides safe fun for children ages 1 (and walking) through 12 from 6:00-10:00 pm during our school year. Minimal registration and advance reservations are required.
The school operates on a 9 month basis with equal monthly tuition payments. A nonrefundable registration fee is due at the time of enrollment. Family discount for those with more than one child enrolled are available, as are scholarships, which are granted on a case-by-case basis. Complete and current immunization records for each child attending are required.
The school is governed by the St. Andrew’s Preschool/Kindergarten Advisory Board.
