A New Time to Be a Welcoming Congregation! The New Year brings new opportunities to show our community just how friendly we are. With new leadership, new directions and new programs ahead it’s a perfect time to welcome visitors and bring them into the ministries and activities of St. Andrew’s. This just may well be the time when neighbors and friends are looking for a church home, and we want them to know how excited we are to have them join us here. The welcoming begins with you. That’s right, you, right in the pew! Make a real effort to identify folks around you who may be visitors. Introduce yourself. Ask their name (and tell them yours). Ask them how you can help them learn more about us. Introduce them to a Master Greeter, or show them to the Welcome Table in the hall. Have them meet some of your church friends. Make them feel at home at St. Andrew’s. (If you find they are already members or attend on a regular basis, you’ve just made a new friend!) The New Year can be a new beginning for St. Andrew’s and its outreach. You can be an important part of the effort to bring new members here, to help us grow. Now’s the time! Return to home page |
