Organist Position Open

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Tucson, AZ, a large church with an outstanding music program, seeks an organist. 

In addition to providing music for two Sunday morning traditional worship services, responsibilities include serving as the accompanist for the 60+ member Chancel Choir which meets weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:15-9:00 p.m. The church’s large new sanctuary houses an Allen Renaissance 460 Digital organ (4 manual, 87 stop, 96 rank), as well as a 6’10’’ Seiler grand piano; both are relatively new and in excellent condition. In addition to the Chancel Choir, the St. Andrew’s music ministry includes a symphonic orchestra, handbell choir, contemporary worship team, and two children’s choirs. Music and worship styles vary from traditional to blended.

A bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent experience is required .We seek applicants with excellent keyboard skills (both piano and organ) who are comfortable with a wide variety of musical styles and who can be team players in the music ministry program.  The position will require 16-20 hours worked per week, and the salary is commensurate with skill and experience.  Please submit a cover letter, resume, and any letters of recommendation by November 15, 2009.
