The Sandwich Squad
On April 6th the "Sunrise" group delivered the first batch of 110 lunches to the The Giving Tree. They met in Alpha to assemble the lunches.There are now 14 groups formed and every eight weeks each member of a group will make 10 lunches. There are some weeks that we will be delivering up to 200 lunches. There are about 130 people now participating.This is a significant effort by the members of our church to feed the hungry. Many of the Sandwich Squad members have also been called to help the homeless in other ways. St. Andrew's is continuing its goal of being a mission oriented church. Thank you for all your support. We are not only helping the homeless and hungry people and families of Tucson but we can also feel satisfaction in serving the Lord.
