St. Andrew's kindergarten classes celebrated the 100th day of schoolOn January 30, 2008 St. Andrew's kindergarten classes celebrated the 100th day of school. This special day co-ordinates with our math curriculum and helps the children learn the importance of the zero in our number system. It is a day of celebration in kindergarten classes nationwide. We wanted to take our celebration into our community, so we worked with The Well, a mission group at St. Andrew's Church. They were collecting hygiene items for Youth on Their Own. This organization provides assistance to homeless and unaccompanied youth to help them complete their high school education and to lead a productive adult life. We collected 100 hygiene items, (shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors and deodorant) to share with this organization. The children sorted, counted and packaged the items in groups of 10. With the help of our generous families, we met our goal!
