Preschool Fundraisers
The Fry’s Cool Cash program is returning again this year. If you
are new to our school, Fry’s grocery stores help support local schools with
cash. Our school is provided with a school ID barcode. This barcode needs to be
scanned by the cashier to hook up your VIP card with St. Andrew’s. After that initial scanning, every time you
shop at Fry’s and use your VIP card, your receipt should say “Cool Cash
Customer.” If it doesn’t, please ask them to re-scan or manually input our
barcode number or ask the store manager to print out a copy of our barcode
number. The school ID barcode printed below can be used by
multiple people, so don’t hesitate to copy it or pass it along to your friends
and family! Each VIP card is restricted to being linked to only one school. Can
we earn the maximum $2000 this year?
Additional
Opportunities to Help the
Preschool Earn Money
Target will credit our school 1% of all
purchases charged to a Target Visa card. Just ask the cashier how to link your
credit card to our school. This is a national program so even Grandma and
Grandpa can help!
Basha’s has already given us a group ID # (24744.) Tell the cashier to link this ID # to your “Thank You Card” and they will credit a percentage of your purchases to our school. Their program runs from September through March. Unlike Fry’s, you are able to link up to three schools to one “Thank You Card.”
Albertson’s has discontinued their Preferred Savings cards but will continue to support schools through their Community Partners Cards (same card as last year if you already have one). You just present it to the cashier when you shop. The Preschool has a limited supply of these cards now and have requested 300 more, so check with the Preschool Office to pick one up. This is an ongoing, year-round program. They pay the Preschool quarterly dividends. Last year St. Andrew’s Preschool and Kindergarten earned nearly $1000! A percentage of all funds earned through these programs supports our scholarship fund.
Escrip – Go to www.escrip.com, click on “sign-up” and follow the instructions. Safeway, Macy’s, Office Max, and several local restaurants all contribute to this funding available for schools. Our group name is St. Andrew’s Preschool and Kindergarten / ID # 154274294.
Change
for Children
Let’s build this school. The walls must go up! We will need desks, chairs, books, and
chalkboards. Together we can make this a
reality. By the time we have completed
the check and change campaign, it will be dry enough to build the walls before
the rains come again. The Ng’ombe School has the
potential to transform the lives of these precious, loved children of the
family of God. Thank you for what you
have done already. Let us continue to
move forward with checks and change to the Glory of God! Questions?
Contact Rachael Vander Woude, 777-5804, or Barbara Janney, 575-1898.
Help for Seniors and Caregivers
The Pima Council on Aging (PCOA) Ambassador Program provides
information and services to seniors with just a phone call. When you or a
friend, neighbor, or family member needs help, call your ambassadors, Jeri
Fitzgerald, 744-4896, or Terry Lacy, 297-7201, and let us help. We can help
take the frustration out of searching for information! PCOA also publishes a
monthly newspaper for seniors called Never Too Late, available in the
church office.

to volunteer but don’t have a lot of spare time? The Deacons have the perfect
solution! We occasionally provide emergency meals for church members and
friends in need. We are looking for volunteers whom we could call on to provide
a meal (either grocery/deli prepared or home cooked) when needed. With a list
of volunteers, the call for help would come “once in a blue moon.” To sign up,
call Gail Jester at 299-2963 or Marianne Weeks at 797-1561. If you or someone
you know is in need of an emergency meal (during an illness or hospitalization,
for example) feel free to call the church office at 297-7201.

Ericsson, Qualcomm, HP, Canon, Sharp and Lexmark.) When we send these in, we
are rewarded with cash for our scholarship program. Bring your donated items to
the preschool office so we can recycle them. Call 742-2969 for more information.
