Session Report - September 2007by Wayne Dawson, Clerk School is back again in full swing and so are opportunities at St. Andrew’s. All of our ministry committees are busy with the activities for the coming months. K’Deo is back with a whole new production for the children in the church. If your children haven’t experienced K’Deo Puppet Ministry, it is well worth your time to get them there. D’Wave is busy with activities for the youth, and the College Ministry is in full swing. The Adult Discipleship Ministries Committee is sponsoring a number of new classes for adults during the Connections time. Fellowship Ministry is again sponsoring breakfasts on the third Sunday of each month. The MOMS Group is meeting on Friday mornings for their programs. Wednesday night and Friday morning Bible studies and Presbyterian Women’s Bible Studies begin this month and can be joined at any time by those interested. It’s an exciting time and everyone should be able to find something in which they are interested. The Interim Pastor Nominating Committee is busy interviewing candidates as is noted in another article on this page. Please pray for their success in finding the right candidate to lead St. Andrew’s during the transition time until we find the new permanent pastor. An exciting event is taking place at St. Andrew’s this month. The Jewish Community in Tucson will be celebrating their Jewish High Holy Days using St. Andrew’s Chapel on September 12, 13, 21, and 22. This continues our dialogue with the Jewish Community in Tucson started by Pastor Joe Bettridge. If you are on campus on any of those days, please welcome them as they come to celebrate. Please read your bulletin each Sunday at the worship service of your choice to stay up to date on all the activities at St. Andrew’s. Please feel free to contact Wayne Dawson at 382-2135 if you want to input anything to the Session of St. Andrew’s.
