Last June in response to actions by the General Assembly (PCUSA), the Session of St. Andrew’s affirmed three historic Christian truths. Over 1,100 other church Sessions in our denomination have made similar resolutions. These have become known as Confessing Church statements. These affirmations are:

  1. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. (John 14:6) 

  2. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is our ultimate guide in the Christian life. (II Timothy 3:16-17) 

  3. The holy life of Christ is lived out in the faithful covenant of marriage between a man and a woman or through chastity in singleness. (Book of Order G-6.0106b)
