Anyone is welcome at any time to join a class in progress.
Try one!

On behalf of all the teachers and leaders of adult ministries I am privilege to invite you to join one of the groups or classes meeting during “Connections” time each Sunday! Everyone involved in Adult Ministries works hard to design learning opportunities for adults that are instructive, practical, intellectually challenging, encouraging, foster the building of relationships and stimulate Christians to practice their faith day to day. May the Lord Jesus bless you with knowledge of God the Father by the power of the Holy Spirit as you step into learning with other believers at St. Andrews.

The Family of God
Currently our class is studying Phillip Yancey’s Prayer – Does it Make a Difference?  Yancey explores this enigmatic intersection where we meet God, addressing key questions that everyone has at some point in their faith walk. Books are available for $15.00 through the Olafsons 544-4162 or jolafson@standrewspres.com. Consider learning together with them and sharing your insights.

Taking Your Faith to Work (Women Only)
God created humans to make God’s world work and to care for His world. How do professional women working outside of the home fulfill this creation mandate? Come and explore with other women challenges of being a faithful witness in their work.

Faithfully Interpreting Scripture
Led by Jason Caywood (3/9-5/18), in the Chapel (NE campus). Have you ever been confused about the meaning of Scripture? Do you have difficulty making sense of the Bible? Interpreting the Bible is not merely the task of experts nor did God intend for us to not understand it. Come join us as we learn about the basic tools and strategies for studying and gleaning an accurate understanding of God’s Word written and live faithfully according to God’s will.

Exploring Christian Spirituality
What is “spirituality”? What does living out Christian spirituality mean? We will be discussing these questions and more by listening to a DVD presentation entitled, “Everything is Spiritual,” by Rob Bell. Pastor Jennifer Wilcox will be leading the conversation about this essential question of life and how to practically live out the Gospel. All are invited to join us.

Lessons from Church History (revised and expanded)
History has profoundly shaped our understanding of Christianity and the practices of Christian people over time. Each week we will explore a different topic and leading figures in Christian history to discover how they changed the world, have shaped our understanding of Christian faith and what we can glean from them in order to navigate through the difficult issues facing believers today.

The Message of Scripture in Context
It
is important for us to understand the historical and cultural background of the Bible in order to accurately hear its message. We will be learning from Ray Vander Laan through the That the World May Know series—looking at the Old Testament period of the prophets and Kings and the Life and Ministry of the Lord Jesus. Each week covers a separate topic.

Believing, Belonging, Becoming
This class is in preparation for becoming a member of St. Andrew's. You will learn know more about who we are, what we do at St. Andrews or about what it means to be a member. To sign up please call the church office (297-7201) or leave a message on Membership voice mailbox (382-2129)

Small Groups; Launching Life Together

We seek to grow our St. Andrew’s community by developing a small group ministry that encourages discipleship, friendship, evangelism, worship, and service. We meet with like-minded friends, discuss common interests and develop close, caring relationships.

We are creating opportunities for everyone, members, friends, and visitors, to encounter Jesus Christ in the context of a grace-filled, loving environment. Groups meet in homes and at the church.

Child care is offered in some groups.

Call John or Sue Michel at 797-3735 or njoynaz@aol.com.

To learn more about Small Groups and what St. Andrew's has in the way of Small Groups go the Organized Group website.
