This committee shall be chaired by one active Elder. The total number of committee members shall be between six and ten. As necessary, representation from the Board of Deacons and Board of Trustees may be requested.
The committee has the following responsibilities:
To regularly update the vision of St. Andrew's into the future
To review and recommend updates to the St. Andrew's Mission and Vision Statements.
To assist Session committees and the Boards of Deacons and Trustees in their long range planning.
To foster and guide the Session, Deacons, Trustees and the Congregation in the priorities of the Mission and Vision Statements and Long Range Plan.
To assist in those day-to-day short-term planning efforts that cut across church organizational lines.
To assess and evaluate Session and church organizational structure as needed.
As necessary, facilitate Session planning retreats.
To review and maintain the Standing Rules of Session
and the By-Laws of St. Andrew's.
