Stewardship

“Scripture teaches us an important practical Christian truth, ‘You reap what you sow.’ It’s the simplest of all Biblical agricultural metaphors. If you don’t plant a seed, you don’t grow a plant. If you only plant a few seeds, you’ll only get a few plants. Unless you invest your resources, you cannot grow your resources. At St. Andrew’s, it continues to be a season of planting seeds and investing the treasures God has given us. Spiritual farmers don’t stop working after they plant seeds. They fertilize and weed the earth. They water the plant. They care for the young seedling until it grows into maturity. We are planting, but we know it will be God who brings the growth.”

Our church finances are built upon pledged giving and we thank those who have promised to support our church so generously in the coming year. In appreciation, Session makes the following “Session Pledge” to the members and friends of St. Andrew’s:

  1. We pledge to honor the Lord Jesus Christ in all we do, and to seek His will for our work today and in the future through regular prayer.

  2. We pledge to use the variety of different resources of the church in a responsible manner.

  3. We pledge to keep the church members updated as we make decisions through regular written and verbal communication.

  4. We pledge to use the financial resources according to the desires of the Lord and to be financially prudent when expenditures are approved.

  5. We pledge to promote the peace and unity and purity within the church.

  6. We pledge to support and advance the work of the different ministry groups of the church and to encourage attendance during worship services as well as Sunday School classes and small group fellowship among our members.

  7. We pledge to encourage and foster the spiritual gifts of the church members in order to bring honor and praise to the Lord.
