LIFT (Leaders In Fellowship Together) has started a Tucson Chapter. Have you attended LIFT meetings and seminars in Phoenix or traveled to other cites to participate in workshops designed to help you minister to women? Have you wondered if there are other women in Tucson who have the same heart as you for ministering to women? Have you wondered what other churches offer in their Women’s Ministries programs? Being part of a LIFT chapter in Tucson will help answer these questions.
The Purpose of LIFT is to "provide an opportunity for Directors/Leaders of Women’s Ministries to come together for spiritual and personal encouragement and prayer. To create a forum for sharing ideas, challenges and solutions common to their ministries."
On January 11, 2001, Pat Davis, director of LIFT in Phoenix, met with Women’s Ministry leaders in Tucson to consider the possibility of starting this new ministry in our community. Many of you know Martha Baker, recently retired Director of Women's Ministry at Christ Community Church. Martha has thirty years of experience working in women's ministry. Martha has agreed to lead our Tucson LIFT chapter. Just think of the networking, encouragement and spiritual growth possibilities for you and the women of your church as you connect with other women serving in their own churches in Tucson.
