The Ministry of MusicMusic Director Marshall Sanders The Music Ministry of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church strives to further the mission of the church, which is "To know God and make God known through lives transformed by Christ," by providing for the study and presentation of music which reflects and glorifies God, and leads our people into worship. The Chancel Choir, an adult choir of sixty-plus voices, provides weekly music for the traditional service. They are always looking for new members who would enjoy singing in either or both of these services. Rehearsals are at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Our Contemporary Service is lead by a worship team that rehearses on Thursday nights at 7:00. Marshall is always be interested in identifying people who might have interest in joining this 9-voice singing group. The worship band currently consists of drums, percussion, bass, guitars, keyboards, and flute. Regularly saxophone and a brass ensemble join the band. There is always a need for new and additional instrumentalists to add to this group, especially string players. This music ministry also includes a fine adult handbell choir, the Wittman Ringers. This group of 12-14 members meets on Tuesday evenings and not only participates regularly in our worship services, but also performs in various concerts and events around the city. Our children choirs also enjoy regular singing opportunities in our worship. Andy's Angels (Preschool through 1st grade), and Desert Doves (grades 2nd through 5th) are led by Claudia Jensen, who continues to be recognized in Tucson and throughout the state as one of the finest directors of childrens choirs. If you have any interest in or questions about any of our music programs, please contact Marshall, either by email or by phone at the church office during his office days (M Th) at 297-7201.
