St. Andrew’s Preschool and Kindergarten is an extension of St. Andrew’s Children’s Christian Education Program which is provided to help meet the needs of young children and their families. We endeavor to provide appropriate experiences which will contribute to the many facets of a child’s growth including: physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual. It is our goal to have a child’s first school experience be relaxed and pleasant, in a nurturing atmosphere conducive to individual development and feelings of self-worth.
St. Andrew’s Preschool and Kindergarten is licensed by the state of Arizona and is open to church members’ families, as well as the community at large. It provides a broad-range program which recognizes the particular needs of preschool children in all areas of development. The school has been in operation since 1979. We follow a traditional school calendar year being in session from late August until mid May.
Preschool classes, lasting for 2 and 1/2 hours per session, are available for two, three, and four year olds. Parents choose from 1, 2, 3, or 5 days/week options, depending on class availability. In addition to our standard morning classes, afternoon classes are also available for our 3 and 4 year old students. Diaper changing facilities are available in 2 year old classes only.
We offer extended day Kindergarten classes, which run from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Monday- Friday. Careful attention has been given to curriculum design to insure a strong foundation for growing minds.
All preschool teachers have education related college degrees or C.D.A.s, in addition to previous teaching experience. Our Kindergarten teachers are certified by the state of Arizona. All classes have teacher aides. Class sizes range from 12-18 children, depending on age level.
The school operates on a 9 month basis with equal monthly tuition payments. A nonrefundable registration fee is required at the time of enrollment. A family discount for those with more than one child enrolled is available, as are scholarships, which are granted on a case-by-case basis. At the time of enrollment, all families must present complete and up-to-date immunization records for each child attending.

The school is governed by St. Andrew’s Christian Education Committee and its Preschool Advisory Board.
