Building a
Park for HNS
The land adjacent to House of Neighborly Service (HNS)
has been a bare lot. It now has a playground, ramadae,
picnic tables and benches. It is reported to be the only playground in South
Tucson.
The playground was constructed on October 18 by over
50 volunteers from Home Depot stores, along with volunteers from St. Andrews
and HNS. KaBoom -a national nonprofit organization whose vision is a great
place to play within walking distance of every child in America - provided
primary funding. Dick Kampa and Frank Bouchard are board members of the HNS.
