Brad Miller
Director of Traditional Music Ministries
by Phil Richardson Brad was drawn to music very early in life. He earned his bachelor of arts degree in music education at Concordia College, a Lutheran school located in Moorhead, Minnesota. He led a liturgical choir at the college and a choir for children at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo, the twin city across the state line in North Dakota. This was followed by five years as Director of Vocal Music at Blaine High School in Blaine, Minnesota. In 2006, he resigned that position in order to work on his master’s in choral conducting at the University of Minnesota, while at the same time serving as director of the Chancel and Children’s Choirs at Glendale United Methodist Church located in Savage, a suburb of the Twin Cities. Brad and his wife, Ana, moved to Tucson in January 2008 so Brad could to pursue his doctor of musical arts degree in choral conducting at the U of A. Brad says “I hope to provide leadership that will help maintain the tradition of musical excellence here at St. Andrew’s, and at the same time, offer something fresh and exciting that will enhance our music ministry.” Return to home page |
